ELIGIBILTY STANDARDS / Admission Requirement

A minimum of Secondary school leaving Certificate or its Equivalent
Age: 18 years and above
Therapists, Parent/Guardian
Provision of Police report/Criminal Background Report or Sworn Court Affidavit
A video clip of a demonstrated specified skills procedure to be attested to by the supervisor as evidence/proof of experiential learning

• A minimum of 42- classroom hours in Verbal Behavior Analysis – CONTENT:

Autism and related developmental disabilities/medical conditions with associate communication and language disorders
Developmental milestones
Ethics, Safe Manual handling, Prevention of Abuse
Assessments based on Operant Equation: A – B – C and Interpretation of Intervention plan
The 12 mains domains of Verbal Behavior
Assessment of Reinforcers/ Cultural sensitivity, Selection & Development of Intervention resource materials
Capturing Motivation/Facilitative/Directive Interaction Naturalistic Teaching Versus Contrived Teaching and Activity-Based Intervention
Discrete Trial Instruction/Prompts/Types of Prompts, Effective Commands & Discrimination Training
Schedules for reinforcement and Reinforcement effectiveness
Basic functional Sign Language and Effective use of Functional Communication Album-African Version/ other Augmented Language Apparatus and Data collection/ graphing
